Frothy beer in the cornie

I`m new to cornie kegging and tried various methods and recipes. I recently tried a whole grain brew and did the rock roll and gas thing as shown by Craig Tube. The problem I have seems to be massive froth on my beers. I only put the beer at 25 psi for 5 mins of rolling but still I get 3/4 pint of froth. Any ideas where I am going wrong? Yea thanks for that. I have even released all the pressure. It still comes out froth froth. Dunno!! :cheers:
 
I assume the tap is connected directly to the keg? Put about a metre of beer line between the keg and tap and that will sort it.

I did exactly the same thing.
I'll try and dig out the post someone wrote to explain it all.

I just left the keg for a 2-3 days, releasing the pressure once a day. After a few days I connected the gas back up at about 3psi.
Been absolutely spot on since then.
 
Thanks guys. Loads o good stuff there. It looks like I`m needing a line between the cornie and tap. The Pressure in the keg is bang on and the temperature ok. I reason then that the problem is caused by having a tap directly on the keg. Anyone know a link for beer line? :cheers: :clap:
 
Put it this way - now this is only my own experience, but this is exactly what happened.

I used to serve at 2-4 psi through a tap connected direct to the keg. Sometimes it foamed and sometimes it didn't. Now I run through about 1m of line and into a tap and serve at 20psi no probs.

Perfect pint every time and perfect head.

Gassed my keg at 25 psi and rolled it to absorb the gas for 5 mins. So feel it isn`t over carbed! Storing it very cool in a cellar. So all Iv`e got left to try is the extra pipeline!! Got the pipeline fastened up. Gonna give it a go later and will report back. Many thanks everyone :thumb: :cheers:

The length of 3/16" pipe worked wonders for me too - no foam at all.

I've got about 2m of line to my tap, which means I have to set it to about 20psi to dispense. This can be a little gassy for some of my brews, so I'm going to get a couple of in-line couplers so I can change the line length to 1m for dispensing ales as well as bitters.
 
I found out why my keg always frothed regardless of pressure, line length etc.

I'd dry hopped in the corny and completely forgotten it was there!! So I'd had a mesh hop bag filled with hops and a spanner tangled round the 'out pipe' since April!!!
I never touched the beer so it just sat there for ages until I decided to rack it into a different corny the other week.

So I dry hopped for 9 months by accident. RAD!! Hoppy as hell!! One of the best beers I ever brewed!

Chew on that Brewdog!! :D
