I've got 5 fermenting and 1 trying to clear, temps in my brewing room are between 26-31 buts its the coolest room in the house.
Worried that this rare summer we are having is going to have an ill effect on my wine, just no way of keeping my brews at a nice steady temp!

While mainline thinking says that temps like this are not good for wine. I got some wine from a small winery in France a couple of years ago (Anjou). The wines were stored in a barn with no cooling other than shade. Outside temps were in the 30's. This was the best wine we came across. So it may not be as bad as you think. The most critical time is the first week or two of fermentation. After that it doesn't seem to have that much effect. So we should be fine.

LOL think you got problems ! it's over 45c here in Turkey and i got 230 ltr of various stuff on the go all inside where the temps are around 24c.
I started a fresh pressed apple cider off yesterday and left it outside (shaded patio) and its off like a rocket it started fermenting within 30 mins of adding the yeast. :D

Was wondering that scream how in hot country's people manage home brewing with the heat. If I could get my room to 24c I'd be happy :)
Our homes are made to keep the heat in seen as how it's rare we get a decent summer normally rain lol

My villa is in three parts, the inside is an old turkish 2 up 2 down solid stone affair with 18 inch thick walls. The outer parts front and back are the 'new-ish' design which is a concrete skeleton and bricks full of air holes which are supposed to keep cool in summer and insulate in winter - no such luck it works completely the opposite ! but the internal part is always 10-25c cooler than outside. The upstairs new bit is a constant 30c in summer while the internal parts are 21-24c even if it hits 50c outside (currently 47c).

I make all my wine in the kitchen as its the only room big enough for all the DJ's and FV's its currently 26c, i store the finished wine in the under stairs cupboard where it is currently 24c.
