Has anyone out there got a 33ltr Nordic/catering direct stock pot ?
I need the total height measurement including handles and also a total width including handles.
Would be handy to know the 50ltr pots dimensions also :thumb:

Hi Vossy
total height including handles is approx 405mm
total width including handles is approx 440mm
If you need any more measurements let me know
Mark

As i copied most of your ideas it's the least I could do

So why do you want a 33L pot?
I want to get more from my brew days, not just 60ltr batches. I'm thinking of doing 2 smaller brews at a time, either by splitting a large volume of wort and using different hops or by mashing 2 beers. For that I'd really like some small stainless fv's, hence the question.
You don't have a 50 by any chance do you ?

Unfortunately not, SWMBO already gives me grief for the amount of kit I currently have. I need to replace my plastic FV and I do like the look of those shiny conical FVs,

I do :thumb:
480mm across the handles
430mm from the base of the pot to the top of the lid handle
and it makes a great FV :D

I ferment 40L batches in there quite comfortably :thumb:
Although some yeasts have been known to try and make a bid for freedom

Fantastic t_s, you're a star
What the max fill volume you'd say you could get away with in the 50 ?
Should have asked Mark that question  (assumes use as a fv)
The 33L pots I have are used as HLT and Boiler. Are you planning put a ball valve in the pot, or siphon out the beer?
I blame Vossy, but I shouldn't read these threads gives me too many ideas :)

I've been trying to purchase a couple of these thermos pot for a few weeks, did you order from that German company something -catering. I sent an email to them a couple of days ago asking if they had any 80 L thermos pots in stock but they said no. I have also been looking on ebay.fr but they have none of the thermos ones on there.

AFAIK catering-service-fr are the only company that sell them, I haven't seen any others over the last 5 years ish. Even if there were other sellers I'm sure they would be price prohibitive....but you never know.
I also made an enquiry a long time ago, as per your enquiry, and was told they were on re-order and would be re-stocked, They wouldn't give a specific date. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of months but they are usually back in stock a lot faster than that.

As it happened the enquiry I made was around x-mas and the 6ltr thermo boxes didn't come back into stock for 3 months  :(

OK, hey vossy what did you want a 6ltr thermo box for, was it to build a heat exchanger?

Yep, that's the one. I brew outside so it's best for me to have insulated everything regards the HERMS. I still have a niggle in my mind over using the 6ltr TB...for the moment I'll have to lag the existing HE...but knowing me I'll probably get one in the end
