My first post on this site. Am 2 weeks into brewing my first Coopers beer - the Lager which came with the kit. All seems really straightforward. Just need the patience to leave it in the bottles for another 4 weeks before trying.

Have also bought a Coopers English Bitter kit, but need a little advice.... I was planning to use the standard 1kg Coopers Brew Enhancer plus 500g Light Spray Malt. Is this 1/2 kg too much (i.e. should I use 500g Brew Enhancer + 500g Light Spray Malt?)

Apologies if this is an obvious question to the experienced brewer! :?: :?:

If you have any hops in your store cupboard make up a hop tea (say 50g Fuggles and water in a saucepan) bring to the boil and add them to the brew as well. You will have a fine brew with lots of flavor. My last kit which I modified had 50G each of both Fuggles and Target hops along with 500g of (well I used Dry dark spay malt) but it turned out sensationally.

Go for it!le
