Hi guys,

I'm doing a kit from Bulldog brews called Evil Dog, all is well so far, it's nearing the end stage and my question is regarding the hops included in the kit.
It's simply what to do lol (in laymans terms), I've never used them before and want to get it right.
I've 2 packets, 1 marked Summit, the other marked Simcoe. They're 'tea bag technology' apparently, I haven't opened them yet as I want to make sure I know what I'm doing first.

Any advice would be appreciated

I was planning on bottling it soon so the secondary will be in the bottles, how long shall I leave them in the FV before bottling?

Is it simply a case of 'chuck them in'? Nothing else needs doing to them?

I steep mine in a cup of boiled water that I have left top cool to around 80 degrees for around 15 mins then add the liquid and the bags to the fv.

Thanks, how long do they need to stay in the FV before bottling?

Do you still have the instructions? Mine said to put them in a cup a boiling water for 10 mins and then tip the whole contents of the cup into the FV.

Yeah I do, the reason I was asking was that seemed to be a couple of ways to use the hops, early on in the fermentation or late on, never used them before so wanted to check

Fermentation takes about 10 days normally. I let the initial fermentation calm down which is usually 5 days then I dry hop.

By the time the ferment is finished the brew is sufficiently hopped.

Don't worry about leaving the beer in the fermenter a day or two longer. Nothing will happen.

Just 1 to 2 days in the fv for me, don't use boiling water, let it cool for a few mins first, it can give grassy flavours to the hop pellets.
