I love Jaipur and your recipe looks tasty.
Are those the hops used in the commercial brew? - Sounds like a cracking combo.
Can I ask though - why the 45min additions?

Aiming to build up the aroma rather than bitterness.I suspect they are not really necessary given the flameout additions, but I have enough of them all so I'm going to give it a go! This is a recipe that was posted here a while ago, so I'm going to give it a go and post my findings!

As for the commercial version, I believe Thornbridge use Ahtanum, Centennial, Chinook and Warrior. If my LHBS has these, I may very well swap them into the recipe. I might even add some Riwaka!

Was looking at that very recipe myself last night on Jim's Beer Kit, a version of Sara Carter's Bombay IPA.

I'm really keen to try this myself because I love Jaipur. I'm a bit of a novice at the moment but will give it a go when I've got a couple of AG brews under my belt. She gave another version in an article in Brewer's Craft using Northern Brewer in place of Chinook.

Yes it was posted on here a couple of years ago I think it was. Looks good, I'll give it a go but seriously thinking about changing the hops to match the Thornbridge recipe. Down to cost and availability as usual!

I have tried the Sara Carter recipe several times with Northern brewer or Northdown as bittering hops and amarillo, centennial late hops. I tend to not do 45 or 15 additions and go for 5 minutes and steep and then maybe some dry hops.
Its a really nice beer but not exactly the same as Jaipur.

Maybe the Ahtanum and Warrior make all the difference then? I'll see if I can get hold of some, and do a comparison with a bottle of Jaipur when the brew is ready.

Tweaked the recipe a bit. Altered the grain bill, hops and yeast. As close as I can to 50 IBUs, and an SG of 1055.

I think Thornbridge use Magnum as the bittering hop, and I think Ahtanum, Chinook and Centennial are the aroma/flavour/dry hop hops.
