Boiling soapy water, dishwasher, pressure washer, depends how filthy they are, or hit the pubs n bottle banks for cleaner ones.

Get a good bottle brush, you could put them through the dishwasher but I would get some VWP and soak them in teh bath in that and give them a thurough scrub.. make sure you rinse afterwards if using VWP

Ok. Bottle brush, steam water and VWP.

VWP is a sanitizer?

Thank you.

Not 100% sure but I think vwp is a cleaner and you will need to rinse them well after soaking and scrubbing. I use a non perfumed oxi cleaner (cheap in the pound shops) instead of vwp but again you need to rinse well.
Then use a no-rinse sanitiser like starsan just before use.

+1 for Oxy cleaner - got mine from B&M. Get the water really hot, add the Oxy and submerge bottles totally. You will find that the labels come off very easily following the soak.
I had no problems with a 15 to 30 minute soak followed by a few agitations with the bottle part full and then a thorough rinse.
I found that an overnight soak worked really well, but some bottles were left with a residue. This came off following a wash in vinegar.
