Hi guys recently purchased a used beer pump. Everything seems in place ans in quite good nick. However it doesn't seem to have any suction out of the pipe out pipe to bring the liquid through. As I'm still a newbie to this. Do you think it could be the seals or something. Any advice or questions I would be very grateful. Thank you

Most beer pumps need to be primed and are gravity fed. That means you can't have them above the liquid being pumped.

Thanks for the reply. So do you think I should try it with the liquid above the pump to see how it goes?

I might be wrong. But I'm pretty sure these work on a piston set up, so no need for anything to be above pump. Barrels and kegs in pubs are not above pumps, always below. It sounds like the ring has gone in the piston chamber or there is a leak in the chamber so you are getting no suction.
You can get service kits, give it a quick Google.

Thanks for that info. I have seen the guide on how to service so I may buy one of those kits. Looks simple enough.. Thank you
