Hi

Ive been on the forum for a few months now but haven't introduced myself yet.
Even though I was not a member, for the past few years ive been reading other peoples posts as a guest and getting advice.

Im from Sunderland and I started home brewing in 2011 after finding all of my dads old home brew equipment in my mams loft. I started with kits then moved on to making wow and varients making all sorts of concoctions, some nice and some horrible.
I pretty much stopped brewing about 3 years ago apart from the odd ginger beer and blackberry wine when the berries were in season but ive recently started brewing again and getting right back into it.

Welcome.

I believe @wilfy and @doctormick are both from Sunderland (they are both SAFC fans and also post on the same Sunderland Message Board as I do), and I am a Sunderland supporter (born in Durham, raised in Dundee since the age of 2).

Im guessing you are from Newcastle.

Or worse still, someone who doesnt even come from newcastle who thinks they are a geordie because where they live doesnt have its own identity.

Haha, Whitley Bay mate, but I live in Lancashire now. I have the misfortune of owning a house in Sunderland though that I rent out... as I can't give it away.

I actually went to Sunnerlind once (9 weeks) for a Brewing course at Brewlab.

You see beer IS the great leveller, in more ways than one!

PS (There is a good reason why Guinness is black and white)

The 9 week course is about £8000. Have you gone professional?
