All you can eat Chinese buffet tomorrow then visiting family, Monday little walk down by the river then bottling treacle stout and wheat beer then putting coopers dark ale and a lager kit on. Happy days. Oh, and the boxing from 6 tonight.

I've just rearranged my mancave to install the brewfridge / Inkbird / heater I bought last week. Now I can properly control fermentation temperature I'll be starting my first foray in brewing with liquid yeast with a Belgian Blonde brewday tomorrow...

Having a lie-in til at least 6am. Get up and see what's happened in the world overnight. Wash pots from night before. Get bored and go to sleep on settee. Wake up about 11 maybe. Get motorbike out and thrash it to within one inch of its miserable life. Come home and reflect on how I survived, again. Potter about til early evening, maybe make a vindaloo, sup copious amounts of ale then go to bed.

It's the other halfs birthday tomorrow so she has some friends visiting and we're all going to a 90's rock night in town... I think I can already feel the hangover on Monday.

Adding treacle and vanilla to a treacle & vanilla stout I started last week. And, testing the belgian saison I brewed last month....gardening between sups....and that's about it..! :drunk:

Farnham beer festival, just got home:thumb:,b####r all tommorow:thumb:and probably

Staying off the roads as the Lake District tourists drive me mad.

.

Know what you mean. Canterbury's the same on bank holidays. For us it's all about giving directions to some lovely people that unfortunately don't speak english  ( "it's that way") :arrow:and dodging the Big Issue salesmen.

Recovering after Reading beer festival.
what a nightmare the last time I was there about 3 years ago
I got mugged on my way to the railway station to go home they took my wallet my watch and my wedding ring and my gold chain
so wont go there again or any other beer festival ever again

Brewing a English Pale Ale. A simple grist and a combo of English and new world hops.

Sorry to hear of your experience Dps51. Shame that you now miss out on some great festivals.

Have just spent the last two days a really relaxed and friendly drinks festival, Berries, Beans and Beer at Crewe Heritage Centre, having a great selection of beers, Gins, Ciders, Wine and Coffee. Someone's written a nice blog about it here https://beersmanchester.wordpress.com/2017/04/30/berries-beans-beer-a-lovely-new-festival-of-drink/

Slightly biased myself as I was lucky enough to win a homebrew comp and brew my beer for it at Offbeat Brewery. A SMaSH Saison with Wai-iti hops.

The other beers on the list weren't to shabby.

Enjoying New York City! Tried some great craft beer at 'The House of Brews' on Friday night. Yesterday we walked 25000 or so steps and walked around lower Manhattan then had an excellent meal at Hard Rock Cafe followed by more beer.

Today we went to the Yankee stadium to watch some baseball, Yankees Vs Baltimore (more beer) and we're eating at at Vegetarian Korean restaurant later on.After food we're off to a rooftop bar for more beer!

Then tomorrow we're Sitting on a 7 hour flight back from New York City, followed a long drive back to sunny Wales !
