I've just made my first AG brew and thinking I should bottle it in the glass bottles I've started collecting. Bought 4 more beers today to give me enough for the batch I have in my FV. I bought a knock on bottle capper today thinking that would do for my first batch capping and a spare if I move onto a better one. Put a trial cap on an empty bottle and think it would be worth the investment for a better one.

Any good ones out there that you recommend? I dont want to spend too much but may go for a bench capper if worth it.

Do it. Bench cappers are the bomb. Totally worth the initial outlay.

A bench capper all day long

+1 for bench cappers.

The best £30 I've ever spent.

It handles all bottle shapes. Speeds up capping. Nice and safe. No dramas.

I nearly sliced open the arteries in my wrist when I sheared the top off a bottle using a twin handled capper.

Bench Capper for sure!

Now make sure that you ONLY buy or accumulate bottles that are ALL the same height and ALL of them have the same size cap.

Otherwise you will waste a lot of time adjusting the height of the capper or trying to fit the wrong cap.

I know 'cos "I've been there and done that!"

If you have different sizes just do all of one, change height and do all of the next OR buy the big green one from the malt miller it's self adjusting. :) I have one ...:):):)

And to top it all I looked on the linked website and couldn't really find much in the way of anything useful to the homebrewer. Fail!
