I have a festival beer kit that will be coming up to the hop stage in the next week, the destruction sheet says to hop and leave them in there for 5 days, from what I think I've heard that's quite a long time and may give off flavours.
Does this seem slightly excessive? I'm sure I read somewhere that loose dry hopping should be done about 3 days before bottling, else you risk "over" hopping the brew.
