So plan is to use my corny keg to keg filter to attach to to tap at bottom of fermenter and either attach other end to liquid out ball connect on keg or just run the tube to bottom in the main opening, I assume this would work with gravity playing a key roll,
I plan to force carb the beer so no need to keep some of the yeast,

I've attached a pic of filter in case your not familiar with it

I never tried that, but it looks interesting. I find, by chilling brews in the secondary FV they clear pretty well.
I'm curious. A few pics would be good. :thumb:

it would be good to understand why you feel the beer needs filtering?

Well as I don't put into secondary and plan to force carb id like to eliminate pretty much 100% of visible particles, and as I also dry hop I want to remove residual pellet too,

That's great, but if I can avoid any murky beers, as I already have the filter and kegs I may aswell give it a go

I have filtered before when needing a clear beer in a hurry, I found it worked well.
You might have a problem with trying to just syphon it from a fermenter to a keg, I think you will find you need a little CO2 to push it through the filter, can you do that from your fermenter? If not you can syphon from your fermenter to a purged keg then filter Between another keg
It's probably best to fill the kegs to the brim with starsan, seal it up then push the starsan into another keg or container using CO2 that way you will be leaving only CO2 in a sealed keg( and a very small amount of starsan). Purging a open keg with just CO2 leaves air inside it

Yea I usually use a 2nd keg to rack to then filter to My serving keg , but I've filled my spare kegs up with beer for aging so only have 1 left empty, I'm hoping the weight of 21 litres would be enough to force it through filter.

Failing that leaving lid on fermenter closed worth the residual co2 push down on lid almost like a pump to send beer on its way

I'm trying to put a pic up to explain but.

I've got a blow off tube attach to the bottom half of a handy airlock on my fv and into a glass with some water in, if I attached the end that's in water to gas supply and put maybe 1-2 psi through it , just enough to push liquid into and through the filter but without blowing the lid off.

I like the fridge you have. I keep looking around for one that will take a couple of corny kegs with a bit of room at the top for the tap. All the ones I have seen seem to have a big lump at the back where the compressor lives and restricts the size to fit the kegs.

Yea the fridge has a little lump to one side at back, it's a hotpoint rla36, and they do half shelves too so got one for heater for fermentation chamber use and one for hops and other such things ,

Did you get it new or charity shop. I have been keeping an eye on second hand ones. I'm not bothered about fermentation as I have a Grainfather conical for that and that has it's own temperature control setup.

If you are going to try to pressurize a FV then i would look to connect the gas line to the lid using a 1/2" tank connector somehow, i would also probably set a few breeze blocks on the lid to keep it held in place as you only have two hands and should things go wrong then at least you have a couple of the possible scenarios covered and will have freedom to react quicker.

How accurate a regulator are you planning to use for this? It may also be an idea to rack of the trub first as it would soon block any filter should it start to move, this is why conicals are a big advantage for this type of thing as any trub is well away from the outlets during racking.

What could possibly go wrong, haha, join me in a week when if redecorated with beer,

I still think the residual co2 from fermentation must be close to what is needed for it to push through the filter, with gravities help. Guess it's all gonna be a big science experiment , hopefully it will end it kegged clear beer
