I was wondering if anyone has a supplier of blank labels they use for their wine/beer bottles? Looking for something I can print my own designs on, rather than a pre-designed label with a space for the name, which is what I've been using to-date.

My only advice on this would be to buy full A4 sheets of sticky back paper as i found it very difficult to line up what i had drawn on the computer to the labels that were cut out on the sheet. there was always a bit of unwanted overlap.

to be honest i wish now id just bought decent paper and a pot of glue though.

somebody else said u can stick the paper to the bottles using milk, then spray over with hairspray to make them stick

I have heard this. What are the other options of glue? Pritstick? Flour and water?

Pritstick or milk depending on whether the kids have lost the pritstick

Why hairspray? I usually use milk but the labels tend to go mouldy in the cellar.

Hairspray stops the inks running if it gets damp :thumb:
I would have thought hairspray was water soluble :wha:

Ah, I'm printing on a laser printer anyway - no ink!

I may try paper and pritt stick, but it doesn't sound like a long-lasting solution. Then again, when am I going to keep bottle of wine long-term anyway? :drink:

It would be no good in damp air then! You'd get all frizzy.
