Looking for some cam-lock disconnects (type A & C); If I buy from different suppliers, what guarantee do I have that they will work together? Similarly, If I buy more in the future, will they still fit my soon to be purchased items?

Anyone care to recommend a supplier?

Cheers, Pat

I've got some SS from 3 different companies and all of mine fit together OK. You can tell which ones are from different companies when you put then together as some of mine are tighter than others to close but never had a leak or had any issues with then drawing in air.

I've had some from Angel, Brewbuider and another company (forgotten their name). All are of the same quality as far as I can tell.

As a test I added a camlock F fitting to a order of SS triclamp fittings I was ordering from a Chinese eBay seller to see if they are compatible with the other camlocks I have already. They were around 25% cheaper than other UK based sellers so will see how they compare. I suspect that most are made in China anyway so I am not expecting any issues.

I hope that helps.

They should all be manufactured to the same standard, regardless of supplier.

Main thing to watch is when buying threaded camlocks. Be careful to choose the same thread standard. I.e. all BSP or NPT. Don't mix them.

Any slackness in the coupling may be down to the type of seal used.

Cheers all! Now just got to decide cam locks vs quick-disconnects.... I was also under the impression that at 1/2", BSP = NPT..... The education continues!

FWIW, Having spent too long looking, I'm finding Chinese imports either via flea bay or Alibaba aren't as cheap as they were, - free postage normally accompanies higher base prices (Amazon Prime anyone?). Home shopping it is then!

Having looked around some more, I think Mr Lard will be getting an order for some big bore type C's and matching male type A's.:thumb:

Cheers all,
