Hello all!

I just chucked my first two batches on to brew today (a basic mead and a supermarket fruit juice wine), so I'm a newbie to home brewing; but after years of wanting to try it and finding excuses not to (too busy, not enough space, etc) I just went 'sod it' and picked up a sachet of wine yeast from Boyes to tty my hand at brewing!

As a cheapskate I'm interested to see how far I can get without breaking the bank!

Welcome to the forum.
I am a tight git and am still using the FV i bought a few years ago there is no need to spend big unless you get the beer bug and the need for shiny equipment gets too strong.

Hi, I started with Mead about 12 months back and have got some full-proof ;) recipes. I've used all sorts of expensive and exotic ingredients and actually find Aldi honey to be about the best - bang for buck. If you need any help - give us a shout!
