Apples...most are months sometimes up to a year old by the time they reach us. Kept in huge fridges at a couple of degrees...then they put a sell by date on them. ..citrus fruits have a sealant sprayed over them.."wax"....rearrange the letters...thiabenzadole....
Some countries irradiate produce...it can make things like strawberries last months. Thinking about it I doubt there's much in the food chain that isn't poisoned...
 
Take meat for example. I don't agree with being a vegetarian or vegan, what would happen to all the cows and pigs if that was the case....


They wouldn't get farmed and bred for huge meat consumption. One of the arguments is we have huge mass cow farms for beef globally and the methane gas is for Earths temps ect..

But I agree with you, we waste far too much of animals.. I only ever tried it once but once I tried a duck heart and it was surprisingly very tasty.. But of course nobody would want to eat that.
 
Look what happens in the fishing industry, thousands of tons of fish and shellfish are caught, then because of regulations aimed at protecting fish stocks, much of it gets dumped back into the sea, dead. Simply because its the wrong size or the wrong species for the boat's quota.
