Looking to purchase Malt extract at as reasonable price as I can and across this in Amazon Prime.
"Suma malt extract 3.18kg
£13.15".
Would this be at the price a decent buy and has Anyone any experience using this product?
Or indeed know of an even cheaper deal.
Cheers.

Just checked Wilkos they charge.
£4.50 for 500g of Muntons Spray Malt light & Medium so if the
"Suma malt extract 3.18kg
£13.15" is suitable would look a decent buy...

This is discussed in another thread.

You are unlikely to get it cheaper unless you buy large quantities, or buy a big order from The HomebrewCompany who used to sell LME for about £6 for 1.5kg
Be aware that cheap malt extract is one of the things that people believe is responsible for the twang in homebrew, and due to personal experience of that I don't use it any more.
If you buy some tell us how it worked out.

I use H&B LME (usually bought when on offer) for kit top ups and small extract brews, and use Coopers or MJ LME from The HomebrewCompany for larger extract brews. In future I intend to try DME rather than LME for extract brews since cost is about the same in larger quantities, and based on what others have said there is less risk of twang. Note 650g DME is about 750g LME.

Be aware that malt extract that is meant for food rather than brewing often contains added sugar and other stuff.
