Ssbrewtech casters?

I have an as brewtech chronical and I’d like to fit casters to it.

I’m not keen on the price of He genuine ssb ones and am wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative???

I originally wondered why you needed a lectern to support your chronicle and then twigged!

I can't find a price for what you are looking at but as I love modifying stuff I would start by looking for something like this ...

... select one of appropriate size, height, strength and price; and then modify it to support my conical FV.

Looking at the SS Brewtech website, I assume it's just casters your after.

I bought some of these recently for a bar I built that I want to be able to wheel into the garden in the summer: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FHGGUT2/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

They're pretty heavy duty and move nicely. That seller does threaded casters too, although a quick Google suggests SS Brewtech work on imperial measurements whereas most stuff over here will be metric.

If you have something with an M10 thread knocking around, would be worth giving it a try first to see whether it screws in nicely.

According to the label on the handle, my Zimmer walking stick (inherited via my Dad, Mum and Brother) will be 41 years old in three days time!

That's probably older than many of the people on the Forum; as well as demonstrating that "Waste not - Want not." is still alive and living in Skegness! :thumb:

If you want to add height as well it's probably worth converting to m10.

Not sure how strong those would be. The ones I linked a load rated (not sure how officially) at 50kg each. If the intention is to be able to move the tank when filled, you'd want something reasonably strong.
