So I racked my mead today, doesn't taste of much yet (it's only a month old, so I was expecting that) and added half a teaspoon of yeast nutrient and topped up with 250gm honey and about half a litre of water.

I just squeezed the honey on top of the proto-mead though and it's sunk to the bottom. Do I have a problem?
I assume that osmosis will take care of things, but I'm not sure.

Brownian Motion should do the trick over time ...

... but a nice slow swirl of the DJ (with air-lock temporarily removed) will be a quicker way to do it; just as long as you keep letting the CO2 out without spraying half fermented mead all over the place! (Along with LME, it's one of the stickiest substances known to mankind!)

Enjoy! :thumb:

Simple but effective! That's got much more of the honey into suspension. Cheers.

I'm still finding sticky patches in the kitchen from yesterday's racking, I really don't want it do make a bid for freedom! Hopefully the tray the dj's on should contain things, 'cause the stuff's pretty energetic today...
