I wonder how many have heard about this yet. This man has just been convicted of gross offensiveness for telling a Hitler joke. The judge decided the context in which it was made. Will they go after John Cleese next.

Well I wasn't expecting that, there will be a few comedians wondering what the future holds if this guy goes to prison.

He got his Pug to give the Nazi salute any time he said "Gas the Jews".

Matters of taste should never be judged in the courtroom but I believe there is more to this than the headlines have suggested. I'd read that the original video had links to various unsavoury and illegal sites inciting racial hatred. Which is a crime.

Ah. Not quite sure that there is a joke in there? Sounds like a pretty abhorrent thing to do. There may well be more to this as you suggest

Where have you read that? I've seen no such suggestion anywhere else.

Here is the BBC report. There is absolutely no mention of 'links to various unsavoury and illegal sites inciting racial hatred. ', which is what was suggested.

Edit - might help if I had remembered to include the BBC link. Lol. Now corrected!

Free speech is in serious danger here.
Lauren Southern talking at the European Parliament about being banned from the UK.
I heard today she was planning to take our government to court, if there is crowd funding for it, I will definitely chip in.

It was in one of the newspaper reports I read yesterday. I'm of the opinion that no subject should be off-limits for comedy and I sincerely hope there is more to this as if there isn't, then the potential is there for a very slippery slope.
