Hi All,

I saw this in wilkos at the weekend for £9.00 so I thought I might just bang one on.

1 can of Geordie bitter
1 kg muntons extract
1kg of tate and lyle
brewed to 20ltrs
1 packet of wilko gervin yeast

SG 1053

Lets see how far this one gets down.

I am going to put some Amarillo hop pellets in when it is in its final 4 days just before bottling.

Has anybody got any ideas on anything else

Thanks
Dave

Hi,

Spotted this myself today and have been wondering if it's worth it. Got 500g of leftover grain to use so maybe a mini mash with something else? I was actually popping in to get a Sundew or Wherry to put in my keg for the summer but now thinking of something different. Does this kit turn out ok? Seen mixed reviews to be honest

I didn't get on with the Sundew kit. Awful stuff. Others will disagree though.
Better how about using @Bigd2657 recipe above and substitute 500g of your Pale Malt in a minimash for 300g GS, then use a dry hop of your choice. CML are good on hops see here https://www.crossmyloofbrew.co.uk/online-store

Maybe. Will give it some thought cheers. Got some EKG that needs using too

(not to hijack but my Sundew turned out really nice. Brewed short with 50g Cascade dry hop and Gervin yeast. Just drinking the last drop at the mo and it's been one of the best things I've done)
