How water proof is grainfather?

I brew outside. It rains occasionally obviously. I do tend to avoid brewing when it's obviously gonna **** down but sometimes get caught out. Can the grainfather deal with a bit of rain? I can get a cover of some sort but it will still get a little bit wet. I do have a waterproof plug enclosure outside so that is not an issue.

I personally wouldn’t want the controller getting soaked, it must be rated for a degree of water protection given it’s likely to get splashed but I think your tempting fate !

I use a pop up gazebo when I’m banished out side by the better half.
 
Aye I wouldn't let it get soaked. Just it may start spitting outside before I have a chance to notice. A plastic bag over the controller would no doubt work. Just wondering about the rest of it. And presumably it's all stainless on the outside? I.e it's not at risk of rusting.

Might just get a gazebo actually. They are quite useful for a few things. Edit! Actually thinking about it the whole point of me getting a grainfather is to have less stuff to get out and put away. And store.
Gazebos are a PITA on all counts here. A permanent roll awning tho, thats not a bad idea.
 
Is it the connect or the original. As the connect is very water resistant. I’ve spilled soaked and rinsed mine a lot.
The original just has a plastic flip top cover over an stc. Can’t see that being very water resistant except for a few splashes.

The connect may well be a bit more waterproof but it is not good at dealing with the lead getting caught up in your foot, the mains in socket in the bottom of the controller is not held in place at all well, resulting in the socket coming loose and wires coming done inside the controller meaning loss of power and possible arcing. For something at the price they charge for these boxes being able to rip a 240v socket out of a box in the possible vicinity of wet floors is not good.

Best place to put it is with the controller away from you and use the mobile app for control, I also wouldn't be keen on using it outside if rain is forecast.
