This is ours - looks a bit of a mess! And impossible to get a photo of the whole thing.
That's french beans and tomatoes on the left, harricot beans on the right, more toms plus some herbs in the middle, but not in the photo is a patch of spinach, some leaf beet, couple of fig trees and 3 peach trees. Plus some brassicas. All I do is the watering - this is Mrs Cwrw's domain plus 2 of our cats who live in here...

Is it too late to plant anything? I have lost enthusiasm as everything always gets caned by bugs or slugs. Bought some bark chippings but they still sit there.

You could plant loads...from seed..lettuce,radish,brassicas,or get ready done from a garden centre.

This has really inspired me.
I’ve got tomatoes , beans, chillis growing in the garden in pots , but I’m going to chuck some salad stuff into the mix this week.

I have loads of seeds so i will get cracking. Should i plant directly into the soil or trays first? I have raised beds. Thank you mate.
A lot of stuff can sow direct now...check the info on the packets..

It’s still not too late to get stuff in the ground. If your not confident enough to grow from seed then you can get plug plants from your local garden centre or even online from the likes of dobbies and others.
My wife wouldn’t ever let me poly tunnel the whole veggie patch so it’s only ever going to be a small 8x6 tunnel and the two raised beds for me. Enough to teach the kids and feed the family for the summer.
All coming along nicely with all this warm sunny weather. Keep on watering......

I like...get loads of dill in with them...perfect with a few beers over Christmas...
Nah not really. Although i was thinking the other day that there does seem to be much more wood pidgins around this year than normal.
I keep netting over my patch until the plants are over a certain size. That’s more to protect from cats than pidgins to to be honest.

Got two poly tunnels but one is really all insect exclusion netting and one greenhouse for earlies and winter tomatoes called Glacier. Also grow chili, capsicum and eggplant in them.
I train them over the roof space
Those are all cherry, but a reasonable size.
These next ones are Money maker.
And some Gooseberries along the back fence.
