"A popular children's video game has blamed a virtual "gang rape" on a hack of its systems.

Amber Petersen's seven-year-old daughter was playing Roblox, when she was attacked by two male characters staging violent sexual acts.

The firm said the incident was caused by an attack on one of its computer servers that has been dealt with.

But experts have cautioned parents not to let young children play online without supervision."

I know some of the Forum Members play computer games so I have a couple of questions:
  1. How the hell can someone create a "character" that is capable of "staging violent sexual acts"?
  2. May I presume that on this occasion there must have been at least two people acting in concert?
I know that there are a lot of sick puppies out there, but anyone who can conduct a virtual "gang rape" on what is apparently a children's computer game, is in dire need of some therapy.

I recommend that they admit to their crimes and request a meeting with the child's relatives down some dark alleyway, one night in the near future!
 
I haven't a clue how they did it and had to google the video below i guess if hackers are determined enough they will do whatever they want however sick that is.

Dutto i can honestly say the 18 certificate on video games may as well not exist parents let very young kids play online shooting games and games like Grand Theft Auto etc (you can hear them in game if you do not mute them) some parents couldnt give a toss as long as the little one is not in their hair when they are watching Eastenders. (and all the other **** soaps)



 
Don't know about this game but years ago when I gamed a bit it was common to see killed players in FPS games humiliated by other players squatting on the face of their dead character. The games weren't designed with squatting pose to be used like that, but teenagers are pretty creative. I'd guess this is what happened here, a character pose that looks a bit sexual being forced onto another player (in this case the kid). It's pretty unsavoury, especially considering this game is aimed at young kids.
 
Just watched the video and can see the attraction to a seven-year-old child; but after that age??

Rather than blocking children from watching "adult" videos and games, it looks as if we need something that can block adults (and teenagers) from accessing the games designed for children!

Personally, I'm glad I gave up gaming after losing at "Ping-Pong" back around 1978! :laugh8:
 
My children played happily Max Payne and Return to Castle Wolfenstein when they were younger than 10.
The problems started when playing age-suitable games like Panfu (sort of habbo hotel but with pandas) where they could be targeted by others.
It's not always the nature of the game: it's way more often the other players. Stay offline, it's healthier.
 
That is ****ed up. I know it doesn’t add to the discussion but I don’t know what else to say....why the **** would anyone do that?!
