Hey everyone
Most of my home brewing revolves around fruit wines and the occasional cheap beer kit from Wilkos.
I don't have the space, equipment and frankly the patience to make a beer from scratch.
I was bought a bottle of Lidl brand Grizzly Ginger last week and when I tried it was pretty impressed.
What I now fancy doing is a basic ginger beer.
My plan is... simply... to use a light beer kit and chuck some ginger in it.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice on this. Such as a suitable donor beer and what type/volume of ginger to add.
I've "ginger-fied" some wines in the past and found it holds quite a bit of its flavour if added at the start rather than as a secondary flavouring. Likewise chillies.
Not having done much tinkering with beer kits I'm just interested to know if anyone can throw some advice my way.
Cheers
