SWMBO often tells people that I am losing my memory and on the principle of "Throw enough mud and some will stick." most of our friends, relatives and neighbours believe her!
However, I think that a conversation we had today sums up what is really happening in this house. We were discussing a neighbour's recent memory problems and the conversation went as follows:

"She's definitely losing it. Today in the car she was telling me a story that she had told me only a couple of days ago."
ME
"She did that to me a few days ago. What was she repeating this time?"
SWMBO
"I can't remember."
There was a pause, but one look at my face and we both fell about laughing - nervously!
