Things must be grim at ranch JJSH , as I've had a third of my Lovibond (still not clear, needs another week or two) and now on my last 5 bottles of Kitsters Last stand, which was my last ever kit (much modified with a mini mash). It's quite nice!

My 1864 Lovibond XB should be about drinkable in 2 days! So I'll pop some in the fridge as soon as I get home. If the neighbour has been a good boy and only watered the plants and not himself by emptying the fridge, there should be some of those ales that @Dutto is wildly enthusiastic about! (but not really :laugh8:)

Been busting a gut in the garden all day and I didn't drink yesterday so having a couple. Neipa and a black ipa. Happy days

Me too, all weekend, actually. Still lots to do, although I have to admit I am secretly enjoying it. Must be getting old!
Yeah love being outside gardening yet. Built another compost bin and dug up one of the front flower beds, although I may have cheated

This thread needs renaming to ‘what is Dutto drinking tonight’. What happened to Captain Calorie?!

Still losing weight. I'm now down to 113.1kg athumb..

My Basal Metabolic Rate is 1,900Kcal (i.e. the calories I need to stay the same weight if I do zero exercise) so anything under that figure is "losing weight", and today my total was 1,340Kcal taken as follows:
  • 600Kcal from 1.5 litres of Youngs Lager (the "Hydraulic Supper" previously mentioned.)
  • 450Kcal from a home made chicken curry.
  • 100 Kcal from Rice Crackers.
  • 90Kcal from Ginger Nut biscuits.
  • 100Kcal from coffee.
Magic! athumb..

Fair enough, I like the proportion of calories from beer! If I could get by on one meal in a day I’d find keeping weight off a lot easier.

I find that I just don't need to eat in the morning so I normally get by with a mug of coffee; and by lunch time (if I'm not driving anywhere) I go and get a beer from the garage to keep me happy until dinner time. athumb..

I have some chicory coffee in the pantry, taste is not bad, mouthfeel is a bit thicker than proper coffee. Might try it again.

Nowt tonight...got dragged round Chester zoo today with Mrs and kids...phone says I did 13000 steps!
Hope to get up early tomorrow and get a brew on then attempt a curry gravy for the evening...

I had a bottle of the Tynt Meadow trappist beer last night. Not bad, quite similar to a Dubbel but slightly overhopped and too bitter for the style.

Day one of majorca holiday.
4 farty little plastic glasses of San Miguel.
Worked through most of the cocktail menu.
Vodka n Malibu slushi lol
Some red wine with dinner
Couple of g&t's
And just done the old two drinks per person eh? Two large whiskeys please bud. other end of the bar two large whiskeys please love and one coke. Then up to the room.
