I know it's not quite October yet, but I thought I'd get this rolling early to give all you busy people a good chance athumb..

October is dark beer month and if contestants are happy, I'll take it fairly literally and throw it open to any beer dark in colour, from stouts and porters to BIPAs or dunkels.

The winner will get either a few bottles of my favourite dark beers or a voucher for their choice of beer/homebrew shop

PM for address and post any questions below acheers.

I’ve got a Dubbel that scored poorly in the Welsh Competition due to what I think was a dodgy bottle (gusher).

I’ll try another couple of bottles over the weekend and if it’s not the full batch that’s dodgy I’ll enter one.

I'll give my Old Ale another sample and see how it's looking, might need more aging before it's good for a comp.

Great :)

I'll probably be doing the tasting on the 3rd or 4th of November (but maybe the 10th/11th) so there's about 6 weeks to go before then acheers.

I forgot to add that if anyone is sending beer in special packaging that they'd like back then I'm happy to return (hopefully with some home-brew in return, if I've got something worth sending!)

I should actually have a dark beer to submit. Will try it this weekend to see if it's ready.

I have something rather special I'll enter.
Maple Glazed Coconut Macaroon Imperial Stout

Isn't @Hoddy doing Novembers darks?

I wanted to send my best bitter off as it's a pretty dark beer, but they've all disappeared. :doh:If I find any hiding I'll post them.

Hi. I have a stout thats to be bottled on the 4th if you can hold the testing untill the 10 / 11?

Thanks to those that have sent in beers so far. For those that haven’t still a week and a bit left to get them in the post in time!

I’ve decided on a prize finally. It’ll be winners choice between three of my favourite dark beers (below) or £15 voucher for a home brew store of their choice.
