I agree. I loved smoking. But I stopped about 4 years ago now after smoking for 18 odd years.
It was the kiddies that made me stop. And I would start tomorrow if it wouldn’t kill me.
Vaping is a waste. If your gonna stop, stop. Don’t gateway to it. Just Get yourself off it.
I did it with the tablets from the no smoking clinic and they worked a treat for me.
However, smokers don't live long enough to cost as much as geriatric care would.

Similar story for me. However I have now got to the point where I can enjoy a single roll-up cadged off my mate when I go out for a beer once week. If I wasn't married to someone who hates smoking and if I didn't have kids I'd still be smoking 'properly' I reckon. I'd never bother with vaping though if I wanted to give up, did it before going cold turkey

I gave up December 1994 when our son was born. It gave me a different perspective on life. Also, my wife doesn't smoke.
Furthermore, vaping is banned in our work vehicles and all buildings internally.

Hardly surprising as you are not allowed to smoke anywhere anymore. I thought at the time they are testing to see how far they can push or do they really care.
I can’t do that. I’m still a smoker. As in, if I touch one, I’m back at 20 a day in a matter of a week or so.
I have proved this theory after the first time I gave up. A year later one drunken fag at Xmas. By feb I was back at 20 a day. Now I just know I can’t touch anything, anytime, ever.

Same here Hoddy, I gave up for 3 months and made the mistake of "just having one" one day 3 months later I tried again and that was 2000 and i havent touched another.
Would be 'interesting' to see how the NHS fared without tobacco revenue's contribution.
