I loved smoking (apart from the cost) all my mates smokes as did our partners and we did it almost everywhere as i said earlier as it wasn't frowned on as it is now, we all knew the risks but we were all young and addicted.
It took the death of a work colleague (throat cancer) many years later to finally give me the push to quit which i did cold turkey i now never give cigarettes a thought unless i read threads like this or see the poor sods huddled in those perspex bush shelter things at the side of office blocks getting their fix.
It’s the health care at my cost that I have the issue with.
Similar story for me. However I have now got to the point where I can enjoy a single roll-up cadged off my mate when I go out for a beer once week. If I wasn't married to someone who hates smoking and if I didn't have kids I'd still be smoking 'properly' I reckon. I'd never bother with vaping though if I wanted to give up, did it before going cold turkeyI agree. I loved smoking. But I stopped about 4 years ago now after smoking for 18 odd years.
It was the kiddies that made me stop. And I would start tomorrow if it wouldn’t kill me.
Vaping is a waste. If your gonna stop, stop. Don’t gateway to it. Just Get yourself off it.
I did it with the tablets from the no smoking clinic and they worked a treat for me.
