SWMBO has given me permission. Christmas present sorted.
I feel a bit bad though because I wanted one in the summer but didn’t have enough height in my brew cupboard and bought a Spiedel fermenter instead. Now we’ve moved house and I’m inheriting my parents’ old fridge it’s a goer! Due to moving house, I’ve never actually used the Spiedel.

They are planning two sizes, a smaller one (~25l) as well as a larger one (~50l)

Mine arrived today. I’m currently checking for leaks:
I’m brewing on Friday but have no brewfridge at the moment. I’ll be aright fermenting in the utility room as long as I stick a thermal blanket over the top won’t I?
The only issue I’ve had is that I’m a bit of a numpty and ordered the wrong tubing for the bottling barn. Maltmiller said it takes 1/2 (12.7mm) or 3/8inch (9.5mm) tubing but stock 12mm or 8mm so I got the 12 thinking the 8 wouldn’t fit. The 12 has come and there’s no chance that will fit in a bottle and it easily slides to the very biggest barb. Off to eBay methinks!

The V2 looks really good.
Yeah you’ll be fine as long as you make sure you don’t let the light get to it.
You’ll be wanting something to actually control the flow with if your gonna use the bottom outlet for bottling. I guess a normal bottling stick will do it.
Either way you’ll be getting the pressure kit in the not to distant future so you can bottle out of the top with a bit of co2 pressure on top.
You’ll not be disappointed with a FS.
