All mine are S30 type, none have this pin, so the bullet/bulb wouldn't work in this scenario.
Although the pin looks like a c-lock pin, which I guess could be retro fitted.

I feel totally betrayed by Ham-Bard. I bought my fourth Keg a week before Xmas. I now have to replace all the valves. I also have £75 of redundant S30s. There must be thousands of users for the S30 system.
We should boycott all Hambleton Bard products until they rethink the situation.

You're not wrong.
There must be thousands of homebrewers, and hundreds of retailers affected by this. (I fit into both categories!).
I have been talking to other homebrew equipment suppliers, and there are talks going on amongst them
regarding the future supply of CO2 cylinders.
As soon as I get any information, I will post it here.

As it stands, I personally have five or six of my own barrels, and as a retailer, thousands of pounds of potentially useless stock.

I totally agree with a boycott of all HB products.

I think you will find that refilled S30 cylinders will become available again, sooner rather than later, so I wouldn't write off any dependent equipment too so soon after HB's bombshell announcement, which after all was less than a fortnight ago.

if there is pressure in the system paint all "joints" with dilute washing up liquid - no bubbles no leaks

My assistant brewer (grandson) and I spent a jolly evening yesterday refilling a load of empty S30 cylinders for our local home brew shop, so they at least will be able to keep their customers happy for a while following Hambleton Bard’s decision not to refill them anymore.

We found that the actual weight of CO2 transferred from the 6Kg donor bottle we used, varied from a bit over the quoted 240gms, to only half that, but beggars can’t be choosers, and if the choice is between no gas, or a ¾ full S30 for ¾ the price, I know which I’d take!

If the new supplier mentioned on Home Brew Life facebook page fails to materialise, I will be happy to tell anyone interested how we filled them, but must warn it cost a bit to set up.
