Morning All

Having a big house party for wifes birthday next weekend. As instructed I have knicked up a keg of ESB and an AIPA for the young folk she works with - both batches in cornies and I may throw in another part full one from stock.

Anyway, this weekend Ill be turning my attention to how best to serve this. Originally I had figured party taps but as I will beed to leave people to serve themselves not sure this wont be fraught with practical issues i.e people only being able to pour glasses of foam before dinally someone disloging tap or similar and 17.5 l ending up on the floor.

The flow control taps I have in the brewcave could be relocated to the house but mounted on what Im not sure - I saw one cideo where a wheely bin had been repurposed. Anyway question is what solutions have other folk come up with for temporary bar, serving kegs at parties etc?

Cheers

I agree with @terrym above!

NEVER trust anyone with a tap on a keg of beer! As the evening goes on people will get more and more clumsy (aka "******") and any hope that they may act rationally goes out of the window!

I've been using a jugs like this one for years (both here and over in France) to dispense brews to guests ...

They look good, when they get emptied guests can always ask for a refill; and the lid keeps out insects in the summer!
