I wondered if anybody had installed a Velux.
Mine is leaking and after looking from an upstairs window, the top of it looks wrong.
Should that strip at the top be under the tiles?

If you don't get your roofer to come back and fix it perhaps the next best thing is to get Velux to come and fix it. My son found he had a leaking window like you after moving into his new house and called Velux in and they fixed it for him.

Yes but it could never have been watertight - top flashing should go under the slates above it.

Top flashing is a lot bigger than what's on show there. That piece is generally used to prop up the row of slates so they run through as level as possible.
Where abouts are you located?
Dave

I was thinking that it was odd looking flashing. I live near Staines. Surrey.

The extension was there when I moved in.

Only the affluent amongst us. Rest of us go to Ingoldmells on dole week.
