I have started to keep an eye out for something suitable to build a kegerator or keezer from. I really fancy a single compartment tall fridge so that I can get a few kegs in and maybe some bottles. I also like the taps at the higher level. I don’t think a tall freezer will work as the shelves have cooling pipes in them generally so I have been looking for a fridge.

Problem is there are not many tall larder fridges for sale secondhand, however, there are loads of fridge freezers but I am not sure how they operate. How easy is it to control these so that the fridge and freezer are the same temperature and does it matter if the freezer is on the top or bottom?

I did see a great conversion can’t remember if it was on this site but any pictures and suggestions greatly accepted.
