The new Robobrew and Brewster Beacon setups look great quality and value for money.
The main reason I went for the GF was the CF chiller. It really is excellent. Even in the summer the wort's ready to go into the fermenter in a couple of minutes.
I like the connect part, but the chiller is it's main draw for me.

Fantastic discussion, thanks everyone. Currently trying to decide between Grainfather and Robobrew. Much better informed and leaning towards GF, although the change from the Robobrew would fund half a Grainfather conical fermenter. Decisions decisions.
Very tricky decision for sure!

I only use like 20g in the end of the boil and "dryhop" with another 15g or so (depending on the Chilli) it's nice. Crisp with a tingle. I've only used simple grainbills but I've heard about people putting chili en stout so everything is allowed.

Ha! Tingle is the word we’re after here! Lol!

Chilli stout sounds bang on to be fair. We all know chocolate cake with chilli is fine dining haute cuisine worthy so a dark rich stout/porter with chilli in would pair up nice me thinks!

Ha! I love chilli, stout and chocolate! I think I would have to do a special 5l batch though.. ..

I may have to begin the beginnings of my next Christmas brew this way! A Chilli Chocolate Cherry Porter! The stuff dreams...or nightmares are made off! Lol!
