Bourbon Barrel Chunks

Anyone got any links or info where I can pick some up pls.
The guy I got them from on eBay last time has vanished.
Dont really want to use the BBQ chips, but real staves from a barrel but struggling to find any.

Several homebrew shops sell chips intended for flavouring neutral grain spirit. They are not BBQ chips. Are these not suited for your purpose?

MM normally sell them but told me they need to smash up some more barrells and was too cold to be done outside. I wish I was joking, might be worth mailing them to ask.

Too cold outside? Is that a elfnsafety concern..? I bet it was too hot last summer...snowflakes in the sunshine.

Using them to age in stout.
Just soak them in either rum or bourbon for a week then add them to the fermentor
The ones MM did sounded perfect as 1" chunks.

I suppose the chips would be fine I just know pretty much bob on how much chunks to use

Haven't they been soaked already? If you are going to soak in bourbon yourself, why not just buy plain oak chips?

I find the charring adds an extra complexity to the final stout
