Wort chiller connector leaking - any recommendations?

I noticed the other day my wort chiller was leaking a steady drip drip drip from one of the connectors (after about 10 uses).

Any suggestions how to reliably connect 10mm copper pipe to garden hose with fittings that can be easily and repeatedly undone?

I use two speedfit connectors like this to go from 10mm copper pipe to garden hose, with jubilee clips to secure the hose. It's definitely one of the speedfits that is leaking, not the hose/jubilee clip.

After use I disconnect the speedfits from the copper for ease of draining and storage.

Now I know speedfits are not really designed to be repeatedly disconnected so I'm not too surprised.

I have not used pipe inserts (like this) in the copper pipe so maybe the ends have ripped the seals in the speedfit???

Any suggestions apart from simply replace the speedfit connectors and this time use pipe inserts? I thought about Hozelocks for quick release but in my experience they leak like a sieve after a while.

Cheers,

Matt

I just push the hose on to the chiller and clamp down with jubilee clips. And then tighten again once the hot water has softened the hose. Not sure if my SS chiller is 10mm though. Will measure later

Thanks foxbat - I think I tried that but the 10mm pipe is too much smaller than the hose that you can't get a good seal.

wrap electrical tape around the pipe until it's a snug fit in the hose. Make the wrap a bit tapered to help insertion. Still need hose clips.

I used a piece of 10mm syphon tube slipped inside the hose then clamped with jublie clips last week and got a drip free result
