morning everyone,

i should be opening a B&B shortly, which will include a small licensed bar. i've been looking at different kegerators to buy but i'm unsure which one is any good. I would like a kegerator that can hold a 50l keg, and isn't too expensive, although i appreciate you get what you pay for.

i stumbled on this site after searching for reviews on the mangrove jacks kegerator, and thought it might be an idea to ask you gentlemen (and ladies) for any advice you're willing to give.

i'm looking to purchase just the one kegerator, as i would like to have a beer on tap...everything else will be bottles etc..

any advice is welcomed, many thanks.

Buy!?!?

Make one, all you need is an old fridge (eBay etc.) and a little bit of DIY skill. Lots of threads on here.

Remember when you open the b&b bar you will prob cut a deal with Heineken, or similar, for the supply of beverage and they’ll cut you great deals including free kit.

I know, been there so don’t rush to open you’re wallet.

If you are looking at serving large kegs why don't you just buy a chiller? Keep keg, chiller and gas under a bar/counter and server from a tap on top.
