Hi everyone hope someone can assure me that i have done the right thing here. I have just brewed an Old English Ale(13lt) with an OG of 1.076. I have pitched a sachet of CML's Real Ale dried yeast, do you think one sachet was enough? Mr Malty states 1.1 pkts for a yeast that is a year old. There was no date on the sachet. So I dated it in Mr Malty as 1 year old

The CML yeasts are so cheap that it never hurts to use 2. I use 2 of the Kolsch and Cali Common yeasts as standard, although I am aiming for a crisp taste with those 2 yeats.

I think most manufacturers recommend to sachets for gravity over 1.070 anyway

For 13L you'll be fine. As Mick says though, for (pseudo)lagers or strong beers it's good practice to pitch 2 packets.

I never brew below about 25l and I only ever use one sachet for what ever I brew.
