Robobrew is good, delighted with mine.

Any brewer who frowns upon an all in one vessel is a fool. I'm absolutely more than capable of using a 3V system, sadly I don't have the space nor the need. It actually wouldn't be any cheaper for me to build/buy as good a quality 3V system. Stainless ofc.

I never set out to buy an all in one vessel to make good beer for me, and glad at that because it doesn't happen. But I did end up with an all in one unit as I realised BIAB was perfect for my needs, ruled out 3V brewing as the small scale made it pointless - therefore eRIMS/eBIAB was the next logical step.

If I had the space I'd have gone for a 3 vessel system and gas burner. To do it the way that I'd want to would work out far more expensive I reckon than the modestly priced all in one system I went for.

That said I am very happy with the bulldog brewer.

Just thought its relevant to mention you don't need all 3 vessels as you can use the boiler as a HLT as well and keep the wort in a fermenter or bucket in between vessels.

There is a fellow on YT who put together his own all-in-one machine, which seems to work really well and comes in well under anything else available in his home country.
Have a wander thru the channel of TubeDinoz, you'll find a bit here a bit there but it's all in there.

I got the Klarstein without re-circ and then by my third brew I'd bought the re-circ stuff :).

1+
Totally agree

You could do like me and build one yourself out of a couple of FVs. Ive not installed a pump yet, but im getting about 72% efficiency. All batches have turned out great. View attachment 17425 View attachment 17426 View attachment 17427

Its got 2 heating elements, 1500w each. I made a element protector to put the bag on and i made somewhere to put the bag after the mash is done. I loose about 1 degree celcius during 60 min mash Work great. Takes me about 30 min to heat 30 liters of water. Ive been thinking about ordering a pump for this because i cant really get temp to be uniform in the whole bucket.

still.... the Brewster Beacon is awesome and i will get it in the future.
Can I ask where you got the heating elements from?

Brewster Beacon, Klarstein, Ace, Hop Cat, Guten are all from the same stable, all have the same circuit boards the importer can request their own modifications to the units.

I have just taken delivery of a Brau Wolf 60 litre comes in 40l and 60l same cicruit board as the above mentioned 9 programs, memory, hop timer etc. No wholesalers in the UK so could probably buy one direct from manufacturer.

of course. I got them if eBay. I recently bought 1 more for a 18l pot. Works great. Easy to install, no leaks.

You'll need a basic computer power cord though. I had several laying around the house.
Just bought two of these, thanks for the info. Cut 1.5" holes in FV with a hole saw. It was a bit fiddly getting the screws in but managed it OK.
It doesn't leak and will be testing it with water and my Inkbird this weekend.

They work great. I have two in my plastic brewery and it takes about 20 -25min to reach mash temp with 30litrs of water.

I moved onto the Klarstein without the recirculating fairly early on in my brewing, mainly because I may have given up so didn’t want to waste the money, sorry investment, loved it so added my own diy reciculation (£20).

So now I look at the GF and the others, can’t fault them, but would I get any great advantage by upgrading, no I don’t think so. Yes they are fairly automated but my brew day is about four hours during which I doubt I spend 45 mins attending the kit. I just pop back and fore.

If it sounds like I’m saying don’t buy a GF or similar then that’s not what I’m saying, they look great, but as the earlier post said work out what you want from your brewing and the system you use.

All any of the various kit does is make beer and we all know that there is no such thing as bad beer.

I think it's upon you that what goes best with your work. I think you have to try both aspects and see which one is the best because everyone's has a different opinion.

It isn't so much as what happens on the hot side it is what happens on the cold side, everyone can make beer, a lot can make an average beer, but few can make a good beer.

Could I put one of these Kettle elements into my Plastic FV and plug into my InkBird and just use it as a heat source for fermentation? I am thinking the InkBird would keep it at the right temperature?

It's rated at 10 Amps, so you could get 2.4kW dependant on your actual mains voltage.
