Sure did, got myself a local contact. Tenner a can but I dont mind paying it, I pay £9 for a cloudwater.
Its cheap in the states though. 20 bucks for a 4 pack. This was this week's selection but goes quick. Tree House next week. He had Pliny the Elder but I ain't paying £30 a bottle View attachment 18630
Is that a private contact or a bottle shop?

Someone's had a lottery win

I drank Trillium and Cloudwater Friends & Family and was blown away that's why I pay it.
Its just a local lad Steve who made a contact.
I made one on BEX from America but the shipping cost was insane so we didn't bother.

worth every penny. Still think the yanks are streets ahead of us, the mouthfeel and carbonation set it apart

Streets ahead of us? Really? I just don't buy that.

Cloudwater, Buxton, Verdant, the Kernel, Loka Polly are a few who spring to mind that I reckon could and do put out IPAs, DIPAs and hazy IPAs (as well as many other styles) of the highest quality to rival the very best the US and the rest of the world has to offer.

I think a lot of the draw to these highly sought after US examples is largely down to hype and rarity that surrounds the product (as with all the 'white whales' of craft beer). I don't doubt they're great beers but worthy of their 'holly grail' status, I doubt it, and streets ahead of the best UK breweries in terms of quality - no chance.

Just my opinion of course.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who suspects a bit of snake oil vending here. Looks like something Chippy might knock up from one of those supermarket juices! Anyway, I've decided to brew some to see what it tastes like. Certainly not going to pay a tenner or more for a canette. Mind you I can be a miserable muther, as my ex used to delight in pointing out, but no. I couldn't bring myself to pay more than two or three squids for anything that comes in a can.
On a brighter note, summer's coming and a bit of fresh fruit. Can't wait to knock up a batch of Pliny the Elderberry.

Everyones entitled to their option as am I.
I was at Cloudwater Friends & Family and Indy Man Beer Con.
Tried everything from Other Half, The Veil, Monkish, Trillium, Hill Farmstead etc. Personally I didnt go in as a hype train fan boy as I really do love Uk Craft and drink Cloudwater, Verdant all the time.
But yes I do find it way better, closet I've had is Verdant Don't Tell Gus and Cloudwater/Monkish Collab

No offence meant, Braindead. Chacun à son goût, as Yogi-Bear used to say. Just outing myself for the miserable tight, fisted mofo I really am, seeing as it's Lent. It's a Yorkshire thing.

Faxe premium lager 5%
Found this in my local turkish shop, anyone seen this before.

Litre cans. Run of the mill lager. Does the business. Or did 20 years ago, as I recall. Wouldn't brew my own, though.
The thing to look out for in these "oriental" emporia is Nigerian Guinness. Now that's something I haven't had for ages. Thoroughly good stuff!

Yes used to take the litre cans to parties back in the 90's, from Cain's brewery in Liverpool if I am not mistaken and Wards best bitter was a fav when I still lived in Sheffield, local spar was always stocked..
