Very helpful Chippy, but have found none in Leicester that do home brew. Cheers.

If your b&m doesn't sell Alcoholic drinks it won't sell kits either.
We have a couple of stores that sold kits but I think they were a one off for father's Day last year, no new stock since.

I brewed up the Wilko IPA kit but did 1/2 as an Earl Grey IPA and the other as a Jalapeno IPA. When brewing, I added medium spraymalt and sugar as well as some strong hops as there wasn't a whiff of hops in its standard form. After around 10 days, I dry hopped with more. Initiall tastes when bottling were very promising, so I've got high hopes for these; you could taste the jalapeno coming through nicely and for the Earl Grey, there was a definite floral tea taste too. The ABV is around 5% too so not too bad.

I've tried one of each of the IPAs and I am blown away by the results. The flavours from both really come through; the Earl Grey has a nice sweetness and the Jalapeno has a strong taste from the peppers (my wife thinks that it is too strong). If I had to complain, I'd say that they need more hops as I like my IPAs very, very hoppy.

One happy bunny right now.
