My take on Darkstar's Hophead. This really is a refreshing, tasty pint to wash down my lunchtime butties.

Well actually this was last night, but a bottle of this Oakhams Scarlet Macaw Pale Ale I picked up in Lidl as part of their craft beer week.

I didn't get any sense of orange from the Amarillo, maybe it was just used for bittering.

But my word the summit hops are mega yellow-grapefruitey! I'll have to get me some of those (and they seem quite reasonably priced too!)

A few stouts from buxton coral castle coconut stout 8.5% bloody lovely
Coward (yellow belly anniversary) 13% even bloody lovelyer.
And organic harvest saison by little earth project Wow! This is amazing dry and fruity with that peppery saison thing then soured in oak. I could drink this forever.

No.14 on the list, a lovely, if slightly cold, IPA, with loads of flavour from post-boil, if I'm not mistaken, tastes of grapefruit/lychee. Is 5 pints to much??!!!

Drinking a pale ale that used up Northern Brewer and Mittelfrau hops. Slightly odd taste, but not unpleasant - sort of English malts, US 05 yeast (West Coast, "Chico" strain) and German / Belgian hops.

Nice Amber colour and good head retention, due to 170g of Wheat Malt.
