Has anyone used Brewers Droop in Bishopston, Bristol recently?
I placed an order with them on 9th April, had no delivery or emails so rang them on 16th April and they said the delivery was due in on that day as they had their deliveries on Tuesdays, and my order should go out the same day.

Anyway, it’s now the 26th and I’ve not had the goods nor a single email from them, so I rang them today, or tried to, and there’s no answer ....on a few tries.
The email address on their website also doesn’t work - emails get bounced back with ‘no such email address’ errors.

I think they have had some work done in the shop recently and also to the website (thebrewersdroop.co.uk), but I’m now wondering if they have disappeared (with my £15), and I’m highlighting g this just in case anyone else here is about to place an order with them.

Just messaged a mate of mine who is a home brewer in Bristol: the shop is still there but has re-focussed to be more of a specialist beer bottle shop rather than a homebrew supplier. Homebrew stocks are apparently poor. Probably worth you giving them a call. If you have no joy my mate has offered to pop in so PM me.

I managed to talk to someone last week, but despite them saying the order would be shipped last week, nothing’s turned up.
I’ve tried calling them a few times today, but no answer, no answerphone, just ringing & ringing.
I’ll see if I can get my money back via PayPal.

Ive got 5 gallons of red that’s not cleared properly, and I’m annoyed I’ve wasted 3 weeks waiting for some finings....I could be drinking it by nw

Well, after repeated attempts to phone them, but no answer, and emails bouncing back with invalid email addresses, I eventually got an email saying my order was on the way.....And sure enough, about another 9 days later, I finally got my order!

All in all, it was the best part of 5 weeks to place an order and finally get it. So, they’re still in business, but they won’t be getting any from me in future

I would not have had your patience. When I had goods not turn up I got a refund from eBay (PayPal) and they will probably drop the seller and or sue them. Let those guys do the dirty work. Same with Amazon. I had a big bag of dog food arrive torn with some contents missing - about 10%. Amazon gave me 100% refund and I kept the 90%.

The trouble is there isn't a lot of money in homebrew so shops diversify, same has happened to my local supplier.

There's 3 or 4 big web-vased suppliers often listed on the forum whose only trade is homebrew supplies, I tend to stick with them now. I think the days of the LHBS are sadly over.

I think I’ll do the same - use the bigger web based suppliers.
I sometimes go to Cheltenham for work, and there’s a great little LHBS there - called Pops - so I use them when I can, but it’s mail order otherwise

We emailed a few hb shops a while ago and several gave us a code a few stopped working and were removed, we now don't follow these up as we introduced advertising sponsorship. (GetErBrewed, Inkbird etc)
