Hello, not done this before but have a Kolsch that should be ready - is there still time? I could put a bottle in the post Monday.
Yes still time, I'm judging about 2 weeks from now.

Are yours 2 Grolsch bottles?

At least one was a grolsh. Sorry I realised I left the note with my details out of the box. I sent 3 packages so can't remember who had what style bottles.

It was a shoe box and should have V. Lager stuck to one bottle.

Yes I have yours safe and sound!

I also have 2 entries from @Simple pig

Gonna be judging not this weekend but next, so still time to get beers in. You could be the lucky winner of a £10 Beers of Europe voucher.

Results are in. This is the 3rd HBF competition I've judged and I've also stewarded a national lager competition before. This is the highest standard competition I've tasted so far. All the beers were great and better than a lot of commercial craft lagers/beers I've had. I think I've found this forum's strong point.

Anyway, winners are:

1st: @strange-steve - Eisbock
2nd: @BeerCat - Czech pale lager
3rd: @Simple pig - International Lager

I'll PM everyone feedback shortly, I'll be in touch with @strange-steve about the prize as well.

Well done everyone. This has been my favourite competition to date.

Thanks Josh. I’m Sat in the garden with the sun out having a homebrew well chuffed with 3rd in my first competition ever a few things went wrong with that lager so will try to improve for next time, well done to strange-Steve and beercat. Cheers Simple pig.

Well done everyone who entered. Happy with my feedback. Feel more confident when brewing lagers after it. I have a pilsner lined up next. I will send you a bottle

It was my pleasure! Thanks for sending me all your beers, as I say the best quality competition I've been involved with so far.

@Leon103 I'm fermenting a Czech pils at the mo so happy to do a bottle swap when it's ready.
