Brew Dog...although they have issued a list of their beer recipes they will give you a recipe if you ask....though you may have to scale it down.

I remember a forumite posting about a scandinavian brewery who had all their recipes on their website. I cant remember who it was now. Anyone else remember?

I'm interested to see what this throws up, although can't think of any that do. Although, I find social media (twitter) a good source. Often brewers will post pictures of their brew sheet. Some of Fullers brewers do this quite often. Some, like Marble, Cloudwater, Bbno, post enough ingredient information that anyone with a reasonable appreciation of recipe formulation could at least make a rough approximation. I think many brewers are willing to share actual recipes, often in books, magazines or in response to direct contact. I guess, posting complete recipes on their websites is just too time consuming and low priority a task for busy brewers.

If you ever do the tour you can see all the various measurements on their white board of the current brews, although that doesn't really tell you that much. They are very open about what they put in.
I've just had the complete opposite - very politely mailed a brewery about a month ago just asking for tips on malts and hops, not the exact recipe, and got no reply.

Not entirely on topic as it is a Toronto brewery, but these folks provide very detailed recipes for their beers - water chemistry, sparge PH and temp, cold crash temps and length, etc. Plus, you can see previous iterations of the recipes, including the same details. Well worth a look:

Same thing with me.
I've contacted a handful of breweries looking for a steer on a recipe (I've never asked for the exact details) and I've always been very polite. I've only once got an email back to say they weren't willing to help, the rest simply didn't respond.
I get that these guys are busy no doubt but it puts me off these breweries when you don't even get a one liner back.

I think BrewDog are unique in giving away almost all of their recipes for free, it really is quite a remarkable thing to do and an amazing gift for homebrewers.
I've seen the odd one here and there from other breweries, but nothing on that scale.

Yes but unlike most breweries they seem to churn them out by the dozen on a daily basis!
The daft thing is I'm sure any master brewer worth his salt could taste any beer and tell you what hops were in it and which malts would give you the same flavours. So much for commercial secrets.

Glad you liked it! I am thinking of popping into their tap room this weekend, if I do I'll try the stout and post a review. Also have my on their Magic Missile Pale Ale, as I have all of the hops used on hand.
