Try removing the power cable from the computer and press and hold the power button for 30+ secs to try and drain residual power from the system. See if it boots up after that.

If the above doesn't work you may have a hardware issue. If there is an error during POST then you would normally get some beeps from the system to indicate something has failed or there's a configuration issue.

If you have a dedicated graphics card installed you could try removing that and trying the on-board graphics if they are available.
This is pretty much one of the replies I had from the IT guy at work.

I do have an after market graphics card so I plugged the monitor into the standard one and it worked. Now checking for any updates before trying the card again.

Thanks all.

Will see if I can source a monitor. I can borrow a lead from work but taking the monitor out of the office won't go unnoticed
Most TV's will have either (or a combination) of DVI, VGA and HDMI. So you could plug your computer into the telly to prove your GFX card outputs that way.

Edit - glad you're on the right track now Leon!

If you have not already done it I would re-seat both RAM and Graphics card, check to see if your Graphics card uses additional 6 or pin power from the Power supply, again reseat all that..

the suggestion for testing onboard graphics if avialble is a good one to eliminate the GPU being the issue, but for sure reseat the RAM
