You can still get a Robobrew V3 for £320 so I don't think that price is too good to be true. A 50L must cost very little more to manufacture and ship to UK.

I misread the post -
my bank's fraud team declined the transaction.

I thought it was a scam as the fraud team got involved but now see Harry managed to pay in the end.
 
Nice! Is this your first brew system? Just wondering if you have anything to compare it to.

I'm looking to buy my first and think I'll go for the Hopcat or robobrew.
 
I'm eyeing up the 45L Hopcat with conical fermenter. I've been brewing for a while now (BIAB) using a wort pan on the hob, cooling overnight and then fermenting in a plastic bin. This will be a pretty big outlay for me but it seems to make brew day much more efficient and cleaner and will therefore lead to more brewing.
