Hi there,

I'm new here and new to home brewing. I used to make my own beer when I was in my early twenties. Who remembers when there was a home brewing section in Boots?

Anyway, that was an age ago and I now fancy getting back into home brewing . I've just ordered a kit with the gubbins needed to make 40 pints from Love Brewing, which should arrive in the next few days...

I'm particularly fond of pale ales, with a real penchant for 'Proper Job' among others.

I'm looking forward to finding out all about brewing and perhaps realising a pipe dream of having the kit and skills to make decent beer from scratch.

Cheers!

Mark

Hi Mark

I was in much the same position as yourself about 5 and a half years ago. Yesterday I made my 91st beer from scratch, using an All-in-One system. Lots of people on here with very similar experiences.

Doing kits is a very good way to get back into HB and I was quite happy for a long time with the beer they produce. A big step up from the Boots kits plus a kilo of sugar! Then, I got "the bug".

Good Luck and welcome to the Forum.

Hi Mark, Similar back ground to yours and I now have an all in one Brewster Beacon but I also make kits.

Welcome to the forum

Hi Popey. Most of my pressure barrels are Boots'. By far and away the best homebrew supplier in the day- they even did aluminium barrels!
Welcome back to the Valhalla.
